If approved, this resolution would prohibit the expenditure of City funds on membership dues with the Independence Chamber of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2020-21 once the City's current membership expires in October 2020. This resolution would further direct that all expenditures for Independence Chamber of Commerce events and sponsorships be subject to review and approval by the City Manager. |

Fiscal Impact:
If approved, this action would save the General Fund $10,500 in Fiscal Year 2020-21. Additional savings may be realized if monthly membership luncheons, the annual golf tournament, the annual banquet, event sponsorships, and other costs are restricted pending review and approval by the City Manager.
