Bison Park Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project mitigates the slope movement by reducing the amount of fill in the area, reroutes the existing sanitary sewer gravity main into stable sloped area, and re-installs the existing large block retaining wall which has settled during the spring rains. This ordinance would authorize the acquisition of the required easements.

The Bison Park Subdivision consists of 94 single family residential lots. In the rains of the Spring of 2019, damages occurred to the existing sanitary sewer facilities, including movement of the slope surrounding the lift station. These damages were caused by the overland flow of storm water. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City to fund the acquisition of the three easements is approximately $ 10,000. Funding for the easement acquisition was budgeted as part of the Bison Park Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project and is included in the 2019-2020 adopted budget, page number 157, account number 7030-5406.
