This resolution implements recently negotiated changes to the work agreement with IBEW. This is a two-year agreement with a minimum 1% wage increase each year. |
| | | | | | | | Background:
The City and representatives of the IBEW worked over the past year to negotiate a new work agreement for the bargaining unit. The agreement was extended by the City Council to January 29th, and then further extended to June 1st while negotiations continued. In these contract extensions, certain time-sensitive provisions in the contract were adopted. The City and IBEW reached a tentative agreement prior to the onset of the pandemic, however, bargaining unit members were unable to ratify the agreement until May.
The proposed agreement has been ratified by the membership. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $95,146 for FY19/20 and $144,146 for FY20/21. Funding for the 1% raises are included in the FY 19/20 adopted budget, page numbers 118 through 133, account number 5100; and the FY 20/21 budget, page numbers 137 through 152, account number 5100.
