Background:

Truman Connected will implement multi-modal improvements to major street in Independence. Its path begins at East of US 24 Highway and North Missouri 291 Highway, ending at Blue Ridge Cutoff and Interstate 70 where it connects to the Truman Sports Complex and the Rock Island Corridor. A complete and robust public engagement process towards the development of implementable recommendations for land use, transportation and environmental strategies, and an implementation phasing plan that provides a road map for immediate action items and future phases of design were used for this project
