Approval is requested for a construction contract for the Walnut Gardens Phase 2 Stormwater Improvements Project (Project No. 70131809). The project will install new storm sewer to intercept and transport surface runoff in the backyards of properties on E. 27th Street S., to prevent flooding and surface erosion, and new catch basins on E 27th Terrace S. to minimize low point street ponding. |
| | | | | | | | Background:
In an effort to reduce flooding and surface erosion in the area of E. 27th Street S. and E. 27th Terrace S., the design of storm drainage improvements was completed, representing the Walnut Gardens Phase 2 Stormwater Improvements project. This project includes installation of storm inlets and manholes of the size indicated, 816 LF of RCP and HDPE storm sewer pipe (18” to 36” dia.), 181 LF of sanitary sewer main, 10 LF of sanitary sewer service lines, and other related incidental construction necessary for completion of the project.

Blue Nile Contractors has successfully completed other construction contracts for the City. Their bid is being recommended for this contract.
