On June 1, 2020 the City Council approved a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Ramos Properties, LLC for the purchase of the property at 15621 E. US 24 Hwy. Since approving the Purchase and Sale Agreement, the purchaser expressed concern over the timeline in the Agreement, specifically associated with the length of time of the approval processes, design services and construction due to the COVID19 pandemic. Staff concurs that completing certain construction elements within 12 months as called for in the Agreement given the present pace of doing business would be very difficult to achieve. As such staff supports modifying the timing of the deliverables.
The revised Agreement requires that a 12 space parking lot and connecting path to Choplin Hood Park is to be constructed within 24 months rather than 12 months following Closing. The remaining 12 parking spaces will be added when the development project is constructed.
Due to the additional time period, a revised Purchase and Sale Agreement is being presented for City Council consideration and approval.
