The City of Independence Water Department has been selling water to Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Jackson County Missouri and the District has been receiving water under a Contract for the Supply of water from the City of Independence, Missouri dated February 21, 2001. District No. 2 had requested that the contract be extended. There was a minor change to the contact minimum monthly usage requirement to make this contract more closely match current wholesale contracts. Both entities have reached an agreement on a new contract. A copy of the signed agreed upon contract is attached. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the water fund is estimated to be $685,000 from this agreement. The revenue is recorded in account No. 040-4550 on page 188 of the 2021/2022 budget.
