Agenda Title:

Council Action is requested to approve amending the CARES ACT Budget.
Recommendations:

Staff recommends approval to increase the CARES grant expenditures to actual amount allocated by Jackson County. 
Executive Summary:

The City applied for and entered into a CARES grant funding agreement with Jackson County on August 3, 2020. The amount requested was $6,900,000. The actual amount allocated by the County was $6,953,474. 

 

In order to properly report to the County the City should allocate the additional $53,474. The attached report shows the proposed use of the additional amount to be used for technology enhancements. These technology enhancements would be aimed at the Council Chamber and public meeting broadcast needs. 


Fiscal Impact:

Allocating an additional $53,474 for technology improvements allow the City to utilize CARES grant funds per the agreement with the County.
