At the November 19 PUAB Meeting, the Board approved the following recommendation for the City Council's consideration:
Per Independence Missouri City Charter, Section 3.16.9, the PUAB is recommending the necessary action be taken to determine the most cost effective and reliable source of energy for the rate payers of IPL in the future. This may include discontinuing the current Combustion Turbine Operations and begin seeking out base load electric solution for our energy needs within the constraints of SPP regulations. |

The PUAB approved the following recommendation at the November 19, 2020 meeting:

- Resolution 6527, recommended by the PUAB at its January 16, 2020 meeting and approved by the City Council on January 21, 2020 (agenda item materials from that meeting are attached).
