In fall 2018, the three City Councils of Blue Springs, Independence, and Lee's Summit adopted by resolution a Statement of Common Purpose emphasizing government innovation and collaborative problem solving. Through this resolution, a Eastern Jackson County Shared Services group was formed to address shared challenges. Despite the challenges of operating during the pandemic the group continued to meet and make significant progress. 

The Group created a video that highlights the work of the past year.
