Agenda Title:

Council Action is requested to approve the final CARES ACT report.
Recommendations:

Staff recommends approval of the final CARES grant expenditure to submit to Jackson County.  

Executive Summary:

The CARES grant funds were originally limited to those expenditures that can be spent by 12/31/2020. Jackson County recently amended our agreement to allow for expenditures through 12/31/2021. However, the City was able to spend the entire grant from Jackson County by 12/31/2020.

 

The City spent unanticipated funds to minimize the impact to our citizens through the pandemic. This final report allocates all CARES funds to the reflect the final expenditures as of 12/31/2020. 



Fiscal Impact:

The City received $6,953,474 from Jackson County as part of the CARES Act. This report represents the final allocation of funds to match actual expenditures. On the attached report, the column titled "Jackson County Grant" represents the original allocation of funds approved by City Council. The column titled "Reallocated Grants" shows the amount being redirected from each outcome. The column titled "Final CARES Reimbursements" reflects the expenditures being recommended for City Council approval.
