Council action is requested regarding the change of ownership application received from Jam & Neel Express LLC; to transfer an Unlimited Intoxicating Liquor in the Original Package with Sunday Sales License located at 17601 E 32^nd Street South. 

The applicant is requesting City Council approval to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package on premises seven days a week.  This convenience store with gas is currently owned by Star Fuel Centers, Inc but they have leased the business to Jam & Neel Express LLC.  The applicant has submitted a signed affidavit indicating that this location will have alcohol sales that meet the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code.

According to their application, Jam & Neel Express, LLC will lease the convenience store at this location and plans to continue selling alcoholic beverages seven days a week.  The store will also continue to operate within the same 3,763 square feet of space. 

The new owner is an LLC and has appointed Syed Asif as Managing Officer for purposes of this liquor license.  The background investigation conducted by the Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Mr. Asif revealed he meets the requirements of the Alcoholic Beverages code.
