City staff has worked with the Local 781's negotiating committee since last Spring to develop an agreement effective January 1, 2021. |

Provisions of the agreement include the following:
- 0% annual wage adjustment in 2020-21 for all positions.
- 3% annual wage adjustment in Years 2-5 for Fire Captain and Inspector positions.
- 2% annual wage adjustment in Years 2-5 for Firefighter and Fire Equipment Operator positions.
- New sick leave payout program for new hires and those with less than 10 years of service that elect to opt-in in which the City would make an annual contribution to a 401a account in lieu of sick leave payouts upon separation from the City.
- Miscellaneous operational provisions.

Fiscal Impact:
The projected fiscal impact over the term of the agreement is $2,820,000, representing a 20 percent increase over 2019-20 FY actuals.
Funds will be budgeted in the following accounts in future years:
