At the August 3, 2020 Regular Meeting, the City Council approved an amendment to the State of Emergency Proclamation which was issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and originally approved on March 13, 2020. This amendment authorized progressive disciplinary measures for businesses that failed to comply the public health orders of Jackson County, Missouri, up to and including the termination of electric utility services and businesses who repeatedly fail to comply with these orders. The City Council further amended the Proclamation to be subject to review every 30 days for wording and compliance. |
