Background: In August of 2020, the City contracted with Tourism Economics to conduct a Tourism Impact Study for the city of Independence; as well as, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism trends in our community. Representatives from Tourism Economics and Madden Media will present the findings of this study.
