Diane Egger, Acting Assistant Director for the Health Department, will provide an update on the progress in hiring staff, setting up office space, and moving services to the new location within City Hall. |

In 2018, the City reorganized health department functions to eliminate redundant services found in the Jackson County Health Department with the goal to provide more efficient services to citizens and businesses. In December 2020, the City announced that it had once again been recognized the State as a local public health authority. The City has worked since December to take the necessary steps to hire staff, set up office space, and move services to the new location. |
