Agenda Title:

Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to Daktronics Inc, in the amount of $625,000.00 for a ribbon board for the Cable-Dahmer Arena for the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department.

Recommendations:

Council action to issue purchase order.

Background:

This item will provide for the replacement of the ribbon display board at the Cable Dahmer Arena. The ribbon board was originally installed when the building was constructed and is now beyond its useful life. The manufacturer also no longer makes replacement parts or components for the existing ribbon board.

This project was approved by the Independence Events Center CID Board on March 5, 2021 as part of the FY 21/22 capital projects budget. All funding for the project will be paid for from CID funds.

Fiscal Impact. The funding for this project is included in the IEC CID FY 21/22 adopted budget.
