The Community Solar Program established participation limits for both residents (40% of average monthly usage) and businesses (33% of the solar capacity for individual accounts and a total of 85% of Phase 1 for all commercial participants as a group). IPL has the discretion to adjust these limits at any time based on observed participation rates. To date, approximately 60% of the available shares have been purchased with limited numbers of new applicants for the remaining shares. It is recommended to support the removal of the participation limits to allow any interested parties the opportunity to purchase the remaining shares. |

The Community Solar Program, Schedule CSP-1, authorizes IPL, in its sole discretion, to adjust the residential and commercial limits at any time based on observed customer participation rates. Approval of this item will express Council support for removal of the participation limits. |

Participating customers are charged $28.44/kW annually (a fixed monthly fee of $2.37 per kW of participation).
