| | | | | | | | Background:
Power and Light (IPL) uses wood transmission and distribution poles for transmission lines, which carry higher voltage power between substations, and distribution lines, which distribute lower voltage power to customers.
An Invitation to Bid (ITB) for wood transmission and distribution poles on June 1, 2021. The ITB was published on the City's website through Public Purchase, the City's e-bidding provider, which notified 188 potential bidders; 26 accessed the bid documents.
Four (4) bids were received in response to the solicitation: Stella-Jones, Wesco Distribution, Bridgewell and Graybar Electric. Stella-Jones and Wesco Distribution submitted the lowest bids and met all the requirements of the ITB. Awarding to both vendors allows IPL to have options when lead times fluctuate.

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $100,000.00. Funding for the wood transmission and distribution poles is included in the fiscal year 2021-2022 adopted budget, page number 174, account number 6122.5314.1370.
