Council action is requested regarding the change of ownership application received from Highgate Hotels, LP; for a Hotel Selling Intoxicating Liquor License for the Residence Inn located at 3700 S. Arrowhead Ave.    

This application meets the requirements of the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code. 

The applicant is requesting City Council approval for a hotel selling intoxicating liquor license.  This application reflects a change of management company.  Residents Inn is currently owned/managed by W2005/Fargo Hotels (Pool B).  The applicant (Highgate Hotels, LP) is the new management company and has indicated that this location will have alcohol sales that meet the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code.

According to the application, Highgate Hotels LLC and Castle Management Borrower LLC are the two partnership members.  The Residence Inn will continue to operate within the 24,805 square foot hotel.  No major changes to the business are planned and the new management company plans to continue selling alcoholic beverages seven days a week. 

Highgate Hotels has appointed Michael B. Hurley as Managing Officer for purposes of this liquor license.  The background investigation conducted by the Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Mr. Hurley revealed he meets the requirements of the Alcoholic Beverages code.
