In support of a subdivision to combine two parcels, the property owner at 1706 S M-291 Hwy has requested that the City vacate the unimproved right-of-way on lots 154 and 153. Staff reviewed with all the utilities and found that no utilities are located in the proposed vacated right-of-way. There is no need for this right-of-way, and other rights-of-way were vacated at the time of the re-platting in 1952. Council action is requested to vacate this unimproved right-of-way.

The address of the unconstructed Right-Of-Way referenced as "all that part of Sunset Lane lying, in on, and across Lot 154 and the south 10 feet of Lot 153," on page 845, in Book 11940 of the Jackson County, Missouri Deed Records, is currently 1706 S M-291 Hwy. These lots should have been vacated at the time of the re-platting in 1952, although there is no evidence this action was executed. The property owner requested this vacation of right-of-way to combine two lots into a single lot.
