The Health Department has been provided an opportunity to receive funding from the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program Grant. This grant will provide for the reimbursement of qualified staffing expenses up to $74,315 from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
Council approval of this consent agenda item will provide for the opportunity for reimbursement of qualified staff expenses for the City of Independence. There are no matching funds required for this grant. |

Fiscal Impact:
The grant does not include a City match. Funds have already been included in the budget for fiscal year 2020/21, page 69, account number 015-4755 PHEP.
