Anderson Engineers have proposed to do the engineering design of the drainage improvements for the Fairmount Highland Storm Drainage Capital Improvement Project (no. 132101). Council approval is required to issue a purchase order in the amount of $76,000. |
| | | | | | | | Background:
The Fairmount Highland Storm Drainage Project (no. 132101) encompasses four locations in both the Sugar and Rock Creek Watersheds, as shown in Attachment #1. This project will address the frequent and severe flooding of homes at all four locations. Anderson Engineers have proposed to do the engineering design of these drainage improvements.
The engineering budget for the project is $90,000. We have negotiated a design scope of work that consists of surveys, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, construction plans, utility coordination, public meeting, easements, and bid documents.

The fiscal impact to the City is $76,000. Funding for the Fairmount Highland Storm Drainage Project (no. 132101) is included in the FY22 adopted budget, page number 115, account number 7013-5406.
