The Power & Light Department issued a RFP for Replacement Generation on October 14, 2021 that was developed by Power Engineers. The original PO was approved by Council on May 17, 2021 in the amount of $125,000. The next phase is to receive and evaluate the proposals that we received to determine which proposal provides the best cost alternative to the City. The evaluation process will include an engineering review for feasibility as well as financial review to determine what is the best cost alternative for our rate payers.
Power Engineers will:
• Maintain addendum tracking documents
• Provide formal responses to questions from Respondents during bid period
• Maintain questions and answers tracking document
• Maintain bid submittal documents
• Prepare bid tabulation document
• Perform calculations and technical bid evaluations per the criteria outlined in the RFP
• Assist with commercial evaluation
• Make formal recommendation to IPL
