City of Independence has budgeted $50,000 for a weatherization program to assist low income homeowners make energy efficiency improvements to their home a weatherization program will result in reduced energy bills for low-income Independence homeowners. Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity has been selected and approved to assist the City of Independence Power & Light Department in utilizing budgeted funds to provide weatherization services for the benefit of qualifying low-income households in Independence. The program provides up to $7,500 in direct weatherization services to qualifying low-income homeowners. |
