The Health and Animal Services Department has been provided an opportunity to receive funding for the Missouri's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Enhancing Detection (ED) Program Grant. This grant will provide for the reimbursement of qualified expenses up to $690,975 from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2023.
Council approval of this consent agenda item will provide for the opportunity for reimbursement of qualified staff expenses and activities for the City of Independence. There are no matching funds required for this grant.
