The taxpayers recently approved an increase in the Fire Sales tax. The Tax Increment Financing Districts within the City do not automatically collect increases in sales taxes unless the City Council approves an ordinance to consent to such capture. Staff recommends that Council determine if they would like the increase in the Fire Sales tax to be captured within each TIF district.
