22-014 - 1R.  An ordinance authorizing final disposition of certain Police Department audio and video records that have met all requirements to be eligible for such disposition. 
Background:

IPD audio and video records are currently destroyed every 33 days from the date of recording in the electronic system to conserve server space and keep costs down. The State and City Retention Schedules require that Police Department audio and video records be retained for 30 days, unless otherwise needed for case documentation. The recordings that are needed for Police Department cases are marked and retained in accordance with the State and City Retention Schedule.
