This action would approve a contract with Olsson Associates for a pre-design engineering study (PES) on the Crackerneck Creek watershed in the amount of $93,000. The scope of service includes reviewing historic data, field investigations, geomorphological analysis, mapping problem areas, establishing a rating for the most severe locations, development of typical mitigation, cost estimates, and recommendations. |

The Crackerneck Creek watershed includes approximately 4,700 acres of the City and is experiencing unusually high levels of erosion which is currently threatening infrastructure, including sewer lines, which could result in significant water quality issues.
Following this evaluation, a design scope and fee will be determined and submitted for the design.
Olsson Associates was chosen by staff from the pre-approved list of vendors for their specialized experience, capacity and capability to perform the work in a timely manner, past record of performance, and familiarity with the area in which this project is located. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $93,000. Expense for the Crackerneck Creek Slope Rehabilitation Project (No. 302202) is included in the FY 2021-22 adopted budget, page number 210, account number 7030-5406.
