Agenda Title:

22-040 - 1R. An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 19321 creating a Charter Amendment Advisory Board.
Background:

On April 18th, 2022, the City Council voted to adopt Ordinance 19321 establishing a City Charter Review Committee. Ordinance 19321 was amended to reduce to total number of Charter Commissioners from 9 to 7 and to make appointments to the Commission subject to individual appointments by the Mayor and each City Councilmember.

 

Since that time, two new members have been seated on the City Council. The City Council now desires to repeal Ordinance No. 19321 to allow for further discussion and direction regarding a Charter Amendment Advisory Board.

There is no fiscal impact associated with this ordinance.
