The Courtney Bend Water Plant is in need of having a new media filtration system for one of the filters at the Courtney Bend Water Treatment plant. Media filters remove sediments and other small particles from the water system as it gets treated before going into the public water system.

The project was bid on the e-procurement website, Public Purchase, that the city uses for solicitations. Invitation to Bid #22012-A closed on June 14, 2022, with 5 firms being notified and 6 firms downloaded the invitation to bid.

The City received bids from Environmental Works and S4 Water Sales and Service LLC (S4), in response to ITB #22012-A. S4 Water Sales and Service provided the requisite qualification information for the ITB, and appear to have the necessary capacity and capability to perform the services required.

Approval of this item shall authorize change orders up to a total of ten (10) percent of the authorized amount for each order, provided appropriations are available.

The fiscal impact to the City is $140,000. $140,000 of the funding is included in the 2021-22 adopted budget, page 217, Project string E (422710 -W - - ), account number E (4830-5212).
