Staff and members of the United Steel, Paper, and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union Local No. 13558 bargaining committee have been meeting for several weeks to negotiate a work agreement. Features of the new agreement include:
- Overtime provisions in compliance with City Council Resolution No. 6811
- Elimination of Longevity Pay
- New sick leave program which includes an annual contribution to 401a in place of sick leave payouts upon separation from the City.
- The Addition of Juneteenth Holiday
- Addition of a floating holiday- with the removal of Presidents Day
- Miscellaneous operational changes
- Three year term with wage adjustments of 3.5%, 3.25%, and 3.25%
- Ratification bonus of $250.00

Fiscal Impact:
Total estimated fiscal impact of the agreement is $11,180,000.
Funds are budgeted in Fund 040, Water Department for the current fiscal year and will be budgeted in future years.
