This City has consistent needs for concrete slabs, flatwork and footings includes park sidewalk replacements, shelter pads and concrete wall repairs.
The Procurement Division issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for Concrete Slabs, Flatwork and Footings was issued on May 18, 2022. The ITB was published on the City's website through Public Purchase, the City's e-bidding provider, which notified 45 potential bidders; 8 accessed the ITB.
Three firms responded to the solicitation: Downey Construction, Inc (Downey), SHEDIGS IT LLC and Southtown Glass, Inc. Downey was the lowest, responsive bidder and has provided this service for several years for the City. Staff recommends a contract award to Downey. |
