| | | | | | | | Recommendations:
Council approval to issue a purchase order. |
| | | | | | | | Background:
On May 2, 2022, Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for participation in the Local Public Health Disparities Initiative program. The purpose of the initiative is to reduce COVID-19 related health disparities, to improve and increase testing and contract tracing, and to prevent and control COVID-19 infection or transmission among populations at higher risk and that are underserved, including racial and ethnic minority groups and people living in rural communities. A condition of the grant requires the City to partner with Hy-Vee and Instacart to provide grocery delivery subscription memberships. The expense budget allowed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for the membership subscription service is One Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Dollars ($163,000.00). This program is fully funded by a grant and required no city match for funding. |
| | | | | | | |
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact to the City for this request as the program is grant funded through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, with no funding match requirement.
