The Police Department recently purchased twenty (20) new Dodge Chargers. These vehicles need to be outfitted with the emergency equipment necessary for them to perform the duties of the department. On November 2, 2020, Council approved the vendor selection recommendation of staff for emergency vehicle equipment purchases. The approved vendor for emergency vehicle equipment purchases is 911 Custom LLC. As the emergency vehicle equipment needs for the department was not known to staff, beyond the first-year purchases approved, subsequent year pricing was not approved by Council at that time. As the proposed purchases exceed $50,000, pursuant to the Purchasing Policy adopted by Council, permission is requested for approval to issue the purchase orders necessary to satisfy the emergency vehicle equipment expenses to outfit the twenty (20) Dodge Chargers. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City totals $104,348.61. Funding is included in the fiscal year 2022-23 adopted budget, account number E (4564-5404) for Mobile Equipment.
