Approval of this change order will add $24,768.92 to the existing contract with WSP USA for additional work on the Square Streetscape project (no. 111902) which will involve the completion of architectural and archeological surveys around the Jackson County Courthouse. |
| | | | | | | | Background:
WSP USA was selected to provide the professional services for the Square Streetscape Project as well as Truman Connected Phase I. This project will include narrowing lane widths, shifting some curb locations, and converting traffic around the historic courthouse to one-way traffic. The intersections will also be improved at all corners of the Square, providing bump-outs, plantings, and site amenities. The project compliments the bi-directional cycle track along Lexington Avenue and Main Street to be constructed as part of the Truman Connected, Phase 1 improvements project. Utilizing the same design firm for both projects creates project efficiencies (e.g., scheduling, regulatory approvals, cost, etc.), enables design continuity through the area, and will facilitate a competitive process when the project is bid for construction. Full construction improvements are limited to the streets surrounding the Truman Courthouse. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $56,683.25. Expense for the Square Streetscape project (no. 111902) will be paid from 111902-C-7011-5406. This project is funded by multiple grant sources.
