  1. Council action is requested on the application received from QuikTrip Corporation for an Intoxicating Liquor of all kinds in the Original Package License for QuikTrip #192 that will be located at 16813 E. 23rd St. S.

Recommendations:

This application meets the requirements of the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code. 

Executive Summary:

The applicant is requesting City Council approval to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package on premises seven days a week.  If City Council approves this license the Sunday Sales license will be issued administratively.  The applicant has indicated that this location will have alcohol sales that meet the City’s Alcoholic Beverage Code.

History of any liquor license at this location; if a new building provides a brief update on the construction:  This is a brand-new QuikTrip being built at 16813 E. 23rd St. S. The tentative opening date for QuikTrip #192 is May 2023. 

 

Price Chopper and La Fuente Mexican Restaurant each have a liquor license in the vicinity of M-291 and 23rd Street.  

 

Location proximity to school, church, or residential zoning: According to the City’s mapping system there are no schools or residential property within 300 feet of this establishment. There is a church located within 300 feet. 

Managing Officer Information and results from background check: QuikTrip Corporation has indicated Jacob R. Harper will serve as the appointed managing officer.  The background investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Jacob R. Harper revealed he meets the requirements of the Alcoholic Beverages code.
