Agenda Title:

Council action is requested to authorize the City Manager to approve change order No. 1 to the design services contract with Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting for the Sidewalks Phase 2 Project (No. 112209) for an amount not to exceed $14,972; authorizing future minor change orders for an amount not to exceed $1,497.20.
Recommendations:

Council approval is recommended.
Executive Summary:

Approval of this change order increase request will add $14,972 to the original design contract with Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting and allow for 2 additional locations to be added to the scope of the Sidewalks Phase 2 Project (No. 112209). The 2 additional locations are located at the 39th and Crackerneck, and the McDonald's Entrances at 42nd Street and Noland Road. Improvements at these additional locations will bring the intersections into ADA compliance. 
Background:

As part of the Deferred Maintenance Program, the Phase 2 Sidewalks Project (No. 112209) will construct sidewalks in areas with high pedestrian traffic where small gaps in sidewalks exist, create continuity in pedestrian facilities, and ensure existing sidewalks meet ADA compliance standards. 


Fiscal Impact:

The fiscal impact to the City is $16,469.20. The Sidewalks Phase 2 Project (No. 112209) will be paid from deferred maintenance funds through account number 7011-5406.
