Approval of this change order increase request will add $50,000 to the original design contract for Anderson Engineering and allow for 2 additional sub-projects to be added to the scope of the Fairmount Neighborhood Storm Drainage Project (No. 132101). The 2 additional sub-projects are located at Arlington Ave just south of 23rd Street, and S. Glenwood Ave. to Brookside Ave. and will address serious stormwater issues in these areas. |

The Fairmount Neighborhood Storm Drainage Project addresses problematic stormwater drainage locations in the Sugar and Rock Creek Watersheds. Four sub-projects were originally selected for improvements in these areas: Crescent Ave, 9th & Carlisle, 14th & Hedges, and 25th & Overton.
This change order will add 2 additional sub-projects to this project: Arlington south of 23rd Street and S. Glenwood Avenue to Brookside Avenue.
Staff believes that by adding these 2 additional locations to the current project instead of delaying these for a future project, the City will save approximately $300,000. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $55,000. Funding for the Fairmount Neighborhood Storm Drainage Improvements Project (No. 132101) is included in the FY21-22 adopted budget, page number 138, account number 7013-5406.
