Council action is requested to issue a purchase order to Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, for Pole Mount - Distribution Transformers for the Power & Light Department, in the amount of $63,315.00.

Council approval to issue a purchase order to Arkansas Electric Cooperatives.

The Transmission and Distribution Division of Power and Light is in need of pole mount Distribution Transformers to maintain our power distribution to our customers. Arkansas Electric currently has these pole mount transformers in stock that are unable to acquired without extended lead times through the contracted supplier. Power & Light is currently experiencing about a 38–52-week lead time with the contracted supplier. Power & Light previously had a contract with Arkansas Electric for Transformers, and they are a known supplier that meets transformer specifications. Their pricing is comparable to our contracted suppliers. The purchase will be for 15- 50 KVA 7620 120/240 1B and 15- 50 KVA 7620 120/240 CSP transformers in the amount of $63,315.00. Funding is included in the fiscal year 2022-23 adopted budget, account number 200815 C page 185.

Approval of this item authorizes change orders up to ten (10) percent of the original authorized amount, providing appropriations are available.
