Council action is requested to authorize the City Manager to approve a construction contract with Vance Brothers, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $1,621,682.50 authorizing future change orders not to exceed $162,168.25 and/or time extensions for the FY 23 Roadway Seals portion of the Preventative Pavement Maintenance Project (No. 112201-4).

Engineer's Estimate: $1,854,025.00

 

Vance Brothers has successfully and satisfactorily completed projects for the City in the past. Their bid is being recommended for approval of this contract.

Background:

This contract is part of the annual Pavement Preventative Maintenance Project (No. 112201) which includes roadway seals, full and partial depth overlay, and crack filling. 


Fiscal Impact:

The fiscal impact to the City is $1,783,850.75. Funding for the Pavement Preventative Maintenance Project (No. 112201) is included in the FY 23 adopted budget, page number 176, account number 7011-5406.
