Agenda Title:

23-753 - A resolution amending the Pay Plan for Non-Represented City Employees as enumerated herein on and after the 1st day of July 2023.
Recommendations:

Staff recommends approval of the attached Resolution for the Non-Represented Employee Pay Plan effective July 1, 2023. 
Executive Summary:

In May 2022, the City entered into an Agreement with Personnel Systems & Services (PSS) in the design and implementation of a salary administration program. Staff recommends the twenty one pay grades and salary ranges based on the PSS study. 
Background:

The City's Non Represented Pay Plan was most recently updated on December 19, 2022. The current plan has thirteen sections and 20 pay grades. The proposed Pay Plan has twenty one pay grades and thirteen sections which identify all non-represented positions in the City.

 

There has not been a comprehensive Salary Administration/Pay Plan study conducted in 5 years. The resolution authorizes the City Manager to make future changes to the Pay Plan, subject to budget authority.   



Fiscal Impact:

The projected cost of brining into range the employees who are currently under the 'minimum' salary is approximately $78,500. Changes to the Pay Plan are within the Proposed FY 2023-2024 operating budget.
