| | | | | | | | Background:
The Missouri Department of Transportation, Office of Highway Safety will fund enforcement activities for education and enforcement projects related to traffic problems. This grant (Project #24-154-AL-081) of $1,014,375.00 will fund overtime for DWI Enforcement programs. The Police Department will have year-round Wolf Pack enforcement periods. Enforcement will focus on areas where habitual DWI arrests have been made and where alcohol-related crashes have occurred. It will fund officers for Youth Alcohol Liquor Compliance Checks, as well as the Highway Safety Holiday Impaired, Spring Impaired & DSOGPO Campaigns, which target impaired drivers. These funds will also cover attendance and hotel fees for two (2) officers to attend the DRE National Conference. All of these programs will be conducted during the time period of October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024. |

The Fiscal impact to the City is $1,014,375.00. The Revenue will be deposited in the Grant Fund 015, account, 4550-5102 in the DWIENF-G grant project.
