Approval of this ordinance will allow City Staff to proceed with easement acquisitions for the Barnes Place Storm Drainage Project (No. 131901). This project will construct stormwater drainage improvements in this residential neighborhood. |

Located in the Rock Creek Watershed, storm drainage improvements in the Barnes Place neighborhood will mitigate the flooding of homes through the installation of over 1,000 feet of stormwater lines.
This project is located immediately East of the Bingham-Waggoner Estate in the Barnes Place neighborhood between S. Osage St, Ruby Ave, S. Main St., and W. Sea Ave. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City for these easements is estimated to be approximately $50,000. Funding for the Barnes Place Drainage Improvements Project (No. 131901) is included in the FY20 adopted budget, page number 157, account number 7013-5406.
