Agenda Title:

Council action is requested to expend $175,980.00 in purchase orders for fiscal year 2023-2024 to Charlesworth Consulting for Risk Management Consulting Services and Workers Compensation Claims Processing for the Finance Department.

Recommendations:

Council approval to issue purchase orders to Charlesworth Consulting.

Background:

The City contracts with Charlesworth Consulting for risk management services, independent of insurance brokerage services. Charlesworth provides innovative approaches for day-to-day operations, loss prevention and management, department training related to risk management, regular evaluation of insurance providers and insurance costs, regular reporting, claims investigation as needed, and more. Charlesworth also processes claims on workers compensation situations.

Charlesworth provides this service as a result of a Request for Proposals where a contract was approved by Council in 2018.

Approval of this item authorizes change orders up to ten (10) percent of the authorized amount, providing appropriations are available.



Fiscal Impact:

The fiscal impact to the City totals $175,980.00. Funding is included in the fiscal year 2023-2024 proposed budget, page 152, account number (4293-5226) for Professional Services.
