| | | | | | | | Background:
The Sewer Maintenance Division of Municipal Services is adding an E60 Compact Excavator with high flow capability. This will allow the use of all modern attachments requiring high flow hydraulics. This unit will be used in daily construction & maintenance operations of the Sanitary Collections Division. This purchase is off of Sourcewell Contract #040319-CEC.
The dealer, Clark Equipment is providing this unit based on pricing provided by Sourcewell Cooperative Contract #040319-CEC.
Per section 8.06.004, Paragraph 4 of the City Code states competitive bidding is not required when purchases are made through a cooperative contract established by a government purchasing entity or cooperative. The cooperative bids used will have been established pursuant to RSMo. 70.220 or generally accepted governmental purchasing practices through the competitive bidding process.
Approval of this item authorizes the Finance Director to issue change orders up to a total of ten (10) percent of the original authorized amount, so long as appropriations are available.

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $76,627.94. The fleet funding is available in the 2024 fiscal proposed budget, on page 161, Storm Sales Tax Fund (013) account number (5262-5405) under equipment. This is allocated from Sanitary Sewer Fund (030) account 5230-5405, page 167 to cover this purchase which includes a trade in reduction for the trade in value of asset 4211, a 2013 compact excavator.
