Approval of this ordinance will authorize the City Manager to enter into a grant agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the Truman Connected Phase 1 Project (No. 112102) to receive funds in the amount of $3,200,000. |

This project will provide new sidewalk, dedicated bike lane, curb & gutter, sidewalk ramps, and street trees on Winner, Lexington, Spring, Bess Truman Parkway, and the Downtown Square. This project will provide what the current road system lacks by creating ADA compliant connectivity for pedestrians and bicyclists. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $3,200,000. The Revenue will be deposited in account 112102-C-7011-5406 in the Street Sales Tax fund (011), page 55 of 2023-24 Proposed Budget.
