Approval of this item will approve a design contract for, and issue a purchase order to, Olsson Associates for engineering design services as part of the Crackerneck Creek Bank Stabilization Project (No. 302202). |
| | | | | | | | Background:
Through a preliminary engineering study, several sites were evaluated where recent stream bed erosion has resulted in settling that now threaten utilities located in the area. Six sites have been identified as the most hazardous and are located along the main stem of Crackerneck Creek, tributary #2, and tributary #3.
Olsson was selected to perform the preliminary engineering study, and are being recommended to complete the design for this project. The scope of this work includes hydrologic/hydraulic calculations, surveying, geotechnical investigations, construction plan development, utility coordination, specifications, construction estimates, public meeting, and the preparation of easement documents. A fee of $219,040 was negotiated for this work. |

Fiscal Impact:
The fiscal impact to the City is $240,944 including allowance for change orders. Funding for the Crackerneck Creek Bank Stabilization Project (No. 302202) is included in the FY 22 adopted budget, page 210, account number 7030-5406.
