In 2023, daily admission passes for the Adventure Oasis Water Park were $9 each. As of June 30, 2022, there are approximately 54,700 residential utility accounts registered with the City of Independence. If each household were to utilize two free passes each, this would mean the City may forgo up to $492,300 in admissions revenue. Estimated expenditures for Fiscal Year 2022-23 were $858,190. These passes would not be redeemable for locker rentals, concessions, or other incidentals, which may partially offset the loss in admissions revenue.
