24-002 1R An ordinance finding, determining and declaring the necessity of acquiring temporary construction and grading easements, general utility easements, and Right of Way for the Valley View Parkway Extension Project (Project No. 512001); authorizing the negotiation and eminent domain proceedings if necessary; approving the plans and specifications for the project; authorizing the use of experts as needed; authorizing and directing the execution of documents and the payment of funds to property owners or others holding property rights, in conjunction with the project. 
Recommendations:

Council approval is recommended.
Executive Summary:

Approval of this ordinance will allow City Staff to proceed with easement acquisitions for the Valley View Parkway Extension Project (No. 512001). This project will provide for design reconstruction of Valley View Parkway, along the existing horizontal alignment between NW Valley View Road and the City limit, to match terminal street sections that exist at the Blue Springs City limit. 


Fiscal Impact:

The fiscal impact to the City is approximately $37,850. Funding for the Valley View Parkway Extension Project (No. 512001) comes from license surcharge fees. Funding for this project is included in the FY 22-23 adopted budget, page 160, account number 512001-C-LSC-7051-5406.
